ICEGATE Registration
ICEGATE is Indian Customs' electronic gateway. Registering gives you your own login to see the shipping bills and bills of entry filed against your IEC, track duty payments and IGST refund status, and receive customs messages directly rather than through your CHA.

Who needs it
Any exporter or importer who wants visibility of their own customs data. It is not strictly mandatory if a CHA files everything for you — but without it you are dependent on your CHA for the status of your own shipments and refunds.

Digital signature check
ICEGATE registration is keyed to a Class 3 DSC. If you do not have one, that is the first step — we can arrange it.

Registered against your IEC with the signatory's DSC mapped to the account.

Verification
ICEGATE verifies the DSC and IEC details, typically within 2–5 working days.

Access confirmed
You can then see shipping bills, bills of entry, duty ledgers and IGST refund status against your own IEC.
After it is issued

Is ICEGATE registration free?
Yes — CBIC charges nothing. The only cost is the Class 3 digital signature, if you do not already hold one.
Do I need ICEGATE if my CHA files everything?
Not legally, but it is the difference between seeing your own shipment and refund status directly and having to ask. IGST refund delays in particular are far easier to chase with your own login.
Can Eximly file directly to ICEGATE for me?
No, and we will not claim otherwise. Eximly prepares and validates the data, records your shipping bill, LEO date and duty figures, and deep-links you to ICEGATE — but filing happens through your ICEGATE login or your CHA. Live EDI filing is on our roadmap, not in the product today.
